THE STORY:
Grand Traverse Pavilions Foundation wrote -
Grand Traverse Pavilions is the region’s first and only nonprofit continuum of care. Providing services for more than 300 residents and 100 daily program participants, Grand Traverse Pavilions is a community of caring and innovation primarily serving our region’s low-income seniors.
The Grand Traverse Pavilions Foundation oversees the development and fundraising in support of the Grand Traverse Pavilions – a full continuum of skilled care for residents from nursing home level of care through fully independent living. Grand Traverse Pavilions Foundation strives to ensure that there is full access to the programs and services of the Grand Traverse Pavilions for all—regardless of ability to pay.
As part of this commitment to our area’s most vulnerable citizens, the foundation is working to potentially bring PACE - Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly to the families of northern Michigan. PACE is an innovative care model that provides comprehensive, coordinated care for nursing home-eligible older adults so that they may remain living safely, with a high quality of life in their own homes and as part of community.
“Where there is no honor to the elderly, there is no future for the young.”
