My Grandaddy, one of the most influential men in my life, has always been there for me, and I with him. In 1976 my Grandaddy bought my uncle a brand new (to him) 1957 Chevy 210 sedan. A beautiful, eye catching hot rod. It was my uncles first car. He loved the car and everyone knew it was my uncle when he rode Down the road. My uncle was a great man and everyone loved him. In 1992 my uncle was diagnosed with leukemia. He underwent chemotherapy. It work great for the first year and after that year was up, it didn't do great with him. My mother, being his only blood match, gave him 110ccs of bone marrow. The transplant was successful, and have him another year of life. In 1994 my uncle, 33 years old, passed away from complications of pneumonia. My family was devastated. My Grandaddy lost his best friend, his son. About 4 years ago, a few people stole the car right out of our own, gated backyard, and the car was gone. We called every news station and had the story aired all around or surrounding areas. About a month later we get a call from the police department saying that they found his car. He was so happy! But to his surprise when we got the car back, it was almost destroyed. No motor, no transmission, no seats, everything was gone. It tore him up inside. But Since my uncles passing, my Grandaddy has gotten many, many estimates to restore the once mint condition car, as it now has a lot of problems. My Grandaddy is now 78 years old and is unable to get the car restored or even clean it. As i said, he has always been there for me, and I want to be there for him now as this is all he can talk about. I want to restore his sons car for him. I want to make it like we're back in 1957 again so he can ride it up and down the strip and let him have his memories of him and his son again. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Have a good day! God bless!
