Grandma Lu's Farm House Rebuild Fund
Organized by: Nick Isaak
To lose a home once in a fire is tragic but to have it happen twice in 4 years is unthinkable. To have it happen as a widow is even tougher. My grandmother is the most kind and caring woman on the planet. She worked in the social services department for the state of North Dakota and when she wasn't professionally giving her time to the community she was welcoming people into her home and endlessly feeding them. She currently has nothing but the clothes on her back. She didn't even have time to grab her hearing aids and has been essentially deaf for days. This fundraiser is to help get her back on her feet and cookin again :)
The video is of a cherrished annual event where we all gather from around the country to help make 1,000lbs+ of sausage in my Grandmother's garage. It feeds multiple familes. The memories in that place are priceless and hopefully with some help all of the equipment and walk in cooler (where da meat was stored) can be replaced. Yes, we drink beer during this process.
*A photo shows her tears of gratitdue from the first housewarming after the first home was lost in a fire in 2010.
