BENEFITING: ALS GUARDIAN ANGELS FOUNDATION
I am riding my bike from Oregon to Columbus, Ohio to raise money for ALS Guardian Angels.
For those who don't know, My friend Ben Thimmes has ALS. He is a father of two and wheelchair bound. Ben is a graduate of Notre Dame and became a teacher at our high school. His daughter was one when he was diagnosed. This ride home is part of a fundraising campaign. Ben's wife, Sarah asked for any donations for the ride to go to the ALS Guardian Angels instead of Ben's ALS team. The Guardian Angels provide expensive tools needed by families dealing with ALS. Every donation is greatly appreciated.
This charity provides much needed assistance to families of people with ALS, which is a physical, emotional, and financially draining disease. They provide assistance to patients who need medical equipment, such as a communication device or an accessible van, or for patients who just need to make rent, due to being unable to perform their jobs anymore due to ALS. These families often have no other means to pay for many of these necessities.
Thank you for all your help and support!
