2017 IS THE YEAR JIM "PUTTY" MESICK GIVES BACK...
2016 I was diagnosed with and beat Cancer. I learned, it takes a lot of help from family, friends and people you have never met!
2017 I am putting those lessons to work to help others. November 5th, I will be running the New York City Marathon to raise money and awareness for a great organization (co-founded by Ethan Zohn, Survivor Africa Winner and 2 time Cancer Survivor), Grassroot Soccer.
I hope you will join me on this journey! I will be sharing my struggles with Cancer, the people that helped me along the way and how it changed my life as I raise funds, awareness and help for this great organization that helps youth around the world lead healthier lives.
My fundraising goal is $3,000 to help change the lives of over 100 kids. I hope you will support my efforts in Making a Difference. You can do so for as little as $25.
I will be paying all of my own expenses to run this event, your donation will go directly to Grassroot Soccer 501(c)3.
GRASSROOT SOCCER STORY...
Grassroot Soccer (GRS) is an adolescent health organization that uses the power of soccer to educate, inspire, and mobilize young people to lead healthier lives and be agents of change in their communities. Since 2002, GRS has reached over 1.9 million young people with critical health information & life skills programs.
It only costs $25 to support one young person through GRS's core program and provide them with access to an HIV test. Together, you can help us reach an additional 6,000 adolescents in 2017!
