EVENT DATE: Sep 19, 2015

THE STORY:

Tree Trust donors have already made it possible to plant 40 trees at the Quarry Point Athletic Park, but to have a greater impact we'd ideally like to plant 100 trees.

Quarry Point Athletic Park is a 40-acre park with ball fields, a picnic shelter, and playground. It is near Pilot Knob Road and 160th Street. The park has limited trees, little shade, and a new housing development coming on the west side. There is a great need to add trees around the park for shade and to create a park zone buffer. This planting is a wonderful opportunity to add trees to the community, while improving water and air quality.

On September 19, community volunteers will join Tree Trust and Apple Valley’s Parks Department to plant a variety of trees to be enjoyed by the community for years to come. Be part of a lasting green future, donate to put trees in the ground today!
