Greenville, SC Ronald McDonald House deck project
Organized by: Jason Bateman
The Ronald McDonald House has played a significant role for my family in our journey with Brayden and his fight against Retinoblastoma. They have provided a place for my family to stay in Philadelphia which is where our son receives his treatment. This orginazation has personally touched my family and we give back to them when we can because we know how it feels to have a place to lay your head at night and enjoy a warm meal. A family doesn't need added stress of lodging and food while dealing with a major medical issue affecting their child. The outdoor deck/seating area at the Greenville RMH is worn and needs to be replaced. There are no rails around the seating area and this project will rectify this issue. The Greenville RMH is a beautiful home away from home for the parents dealing with a medical event that will likely alter their lives forever. I hope to make this seating area a place for them to enjoy a dinner on a nice evening or a place to reflect on the blessings and challenges that are sure to come their way. If there are leftover funds from the decking renovation, those funds will be donated as cash to the Greenville RMH for supplies or any other project they can use the funds for.
