BENEFITING: WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT
Here's The Story:
"A nation that does not honor its heros, will not long endure." -President Abraham Lincoln
We are a group of middle and high school student/athletes from Greenwich, CT who are organizing several events in our community to raise funds for the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). Our mission is to honor and empower wounded warriors that have recently returned from Iraq and Afghanistan. Many of these soldiers have sustained severe burns, traumatic brain injuries and loss of limbs. This junior committee is working hard to raise awareness and funds to help these heroes transition back to civilian life. Our "On the Avenue Event" is being held on Saturday, April 28th and Thursday, May 3rd on Greenwich Avenue. Our committee will be set up in different locations raising funds and building awareness for this awesome cause!
To learn more about WWP, please watch this brief You Tube video. You will understand why we are passionate about this cause. Help us make a difference in the lives of these soldiers who have put their lives on the line for our country. They are true heroes.
