Stuff About Me:

Daring Greatly (v)

the courage to be vulnerable, to show up, and be seen

to ask for what you need

to talk about how you’re feeling

to have the hard conversation

Before I spoke with Tina Allen, founder of Liddle KidzTM and Pediatric Massage Master Teacher, about the chance to be a Global Ambassador, I had found myself reading and listening to the lectures of Brene Brown, author of the book Daring Greatly. The above definition for "Daring Greatly" came from Brown's writing and continues to inspire my volunteer efforts with the Liddle KidzTM Foundation.

the courage to be vulnerable, to show up, and be seen

The invitation for me to be vulnerable was present throughout the application process and I feel humbled to have been selected out of over 3,000 applicants. It is incredible to be seen and to be able to align my life purpose to serve others with the work done through the Liddle Kidz TM Foundation

to ask for what you need

What is needed is a call to action - for me and for you! Thank you for your support in this endeavor and your generous hearts that will enable us to impact the lives of the children in orphanages and hospitals in the Philippines, as well as the chance to educate caregivers and healthcare providers to sustain the practice of nurturing touch long after we have returned home. Thank you for your donation!

to talk about how you’re feeling

I feel grateful for the chance to cultivate meaningful work in my life. I feel gratitude for all we support me in this work both emotionally and through their donations.

I feel joy in the knowing the lives we will impact and shift through this "work of heart".

I feel an awakening to oneness with my fellow team members, the children who will teach us about the true brilliance of life as we offer nurturing touch to them, and health care providers who will continue the passion of this work with the children under their care.

to have the hard conversation

This trip is only made possible through the generosity and efforts of the community. Our investment of time, energy, and compassion shape our world and hold us each accountable to one another.

The conversation is encouraged through Liddle KidzTM who highlights that "children in orphanages around the world may have food, clothing and shelter, but often they lack an essential ingredient for basic health and happiness—touch. Without it, children often feel discarded, forgotten and even untouchable, especially when their circumstances are complicated by being sick or having a disability."

We have the capacity to Dare Greatly and promote change; the choice is ours.

I humbly invite you to join the conversation!

Thank you for taking the time to read my bio and for the chance to share in this work with me.

In Joy,

Greg Hedler
