Gretchen and Sharon - sisters in need

Hi. My name is Gretchen. I have a sort of long story but I'll make it short. In 1999, my sister Sharon suffered a traumatic brain injury from a fall while we were swimming. She went through 4 months of intensive rehab after being in a coma for a month. She suffers from seizures and severe short-term memory loss. She went to live with my parents as she could no longer live by herself; although she has been able to care for her hygiene, etc. with minimal assistance. In 2011, our father suddenly died from undiagnosed cancer. My sister continued to live with my mother although she was quite ill herself with heart disease and diabetes. During this time, I traveled an hour to my mother's house to care for both my sister and my mother around my work schedule. I would do their shopping and laundry and get them to their appointments. Sadly, my mother passed away last year in hospice from heart disease and diabetes. My sister was placed in nursing care by the Department of Aging because she could not live alone or, for that matter, be alone because she could not remember to take her medications, resulting in severe seizures. She has been living in a personal care home for the last year, which takes all but $50 of her disability check she gets for her brain injury. Due to all of these things, I have been the sole care provider for my sister since my parents' deaths. I had to take a loan from my retirement fund to help pay for my mothers funeral and also to take care of what was left of her estate. Unfortunately, she and my father left us with nothing. I have exhausted all of my financial means. I continue to work full-time plus overtime when it is available but it is not enough. I have tried to get my sister additional services through the state but she simply does not qualify for any more. Her bank account is constantly over-drafted because she cannot remember to write deductions down and she really has no money after she pays the personal care home. The court has ruled her competent enough that I am unable to have guardianship over her. She will only qualify for more care when she is a senior citizen. She is only 48 now. To top things off, my beloved cat of 16 years died March 13, 2016. I have been devastated by the injury to my sister, she has always been my best friend. I am also devastated by the deaths of my parents. I am hoping just to get enough money to get things straightened out financially for myself and my sister and create some kind of emergency fund for us both in the event something else happens. My work has been in human services for the last 25 years so I have always been a caretaker of others. I don't typically ask for help but I am in need of help at this time, desperately. Any donations would be appreciated. Thank you all in advance.
