I set out to run the NY marathon in support of poverty in the city & as a memorable challenge to accomplish with two of my best friends. This week, as Hurricane Sandy devastated communities in and around New York, I was moved to hear Mayor Bloomberg announce that this race will go on as a sign of the resiliency of the American spirit.
I am proud to run through each borough of this amazing city in support of Hurricane Sandy relief. Every dollar Erin, Mariel and I raise for the Robin Hood Foundation will help rebuild these communities and bring relief to many of the undoubtedly strongest of our country's individuals.
Please help us in our cause and cheer us on Sunday morning. I am honored to take each step as a symbol of the action we are taking to support this city.
