Since 2003, Growing Hope has been dedicated to improving lives of people and communities through gardening and healthy food access right here in Ypsilanti, Michigan. By the end of 2011, we will be permanently headquartered in our Growing Hope Center, a landmark education focused 1.4-acre, sustainable, urban farm.
We're committed to doing BIG things with heart, skill, and panache! So, when 5 wonderful (slightly insane) members of our community decided to run the ING NYC marathon, we jumped in whole-heartedly. Over the next 8 months, watch the progress of our running fiends: Hannah Ashmore, Michael Edison, Jessica Hustoles.
My personal fundraising goal is $5,000. With your support, our team will raise $1,000. Where will the money go? Excellent question, oh smart donors! Some of the ways your donations will support Growing Hope's work:
- further the growth of our Downtown Ypsilanti Farmers' Market (averaging over 600 market-goers and $96,000 in 2010),
- support families through our Raised Bed Garden program
- help expand our Summer Youth Employment program (let's hear it for Green Entrepreneurialism!),
- to continuing to educate middle school youth in our Seed2Plate nutrition eduation classes (can we challenge you to a game of veggie bingo?).
With your generous support, the Growing Hope and our Growing Hope Center will continue to be a leading model for urban agriculture, entrepreneurial spirit, community responsibility and sustainability, and, our founding principle, healthy eating. Your support today will plant a seed that will yield a legacy of lasting benefits.
Welcome to the Growing Hope family!.

If you choose "Donate Anonymously but have you leak it," Crowdrise will let us know you donated, but you will appear on this page Anonymously. And we want to thank you. So, please, pretty please, choose to leak your information!
