In addition to the very compelling reason for the ride, I look forward to the adventure and physical challenge, camaraderie with riders and drivers, and meeting children and staff members at the hospital visits we will make.
I expect that meeting the kids and families who are benefitting from our efforts will be especially rewarding. Having several friends and family members who have in the past or are now struggling with cancer makes this effort that more compelling--I look forward to fundraising to help defeat the scourge as well as spinning the pedals in a show of solidarity with those affected by it.
