BENEFITING: TENACITY INC
I recently hiked the Appalachian trail. On the long list of amazing, yet entirely self-indulgent things I have done- this ranks highly. I met many people, but one inspired me to put some of my adventurous crazy actions to good use. Bud hiked the trail for a charity he founded, Tenacity, that helps students of Boston have opportunities they would not otherwise have. I wasted the opportunity to raise money during the Appalachian trail, but I figure now that I'm running an ultra marathon up volcanoes I shouldn't let a second opportunity pass. It's about 34 miles, in Iceland, up the LAUGAVEGUR trail. I hate fundraising, or asking people for money. I usually hate "causes". But I like Bud, I like Tenacity, and I'm going to need the extra motivation to get through this thing. So this is sprint fundraising. I'll ask you for money exactly once, and if you give I'll thank you. The race is one week. What can we raise in one week?
