BENEFITING: GUARDIAN ANGELS MEDICAL SERVICE DOGS INC
EVENT DATE: Jun 26, 2015
Pet Awareness Day began in 2013 at our Michigan offices of Dassault Systemes as part of a Take Your Dog To Work Day® initiative. Our event raises awareness for service dogs and encourages pet adoption from local shelters, rescue groups, and humane societies. In the past two years, we have raised over $3800 for a local pet adoption center and Leader Dogs for the Blind. This year, we want to expand our impact by inviting you to participate in our fundraiser for Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs who not only rescue dogs, but also raise, train, and donate individually-trained federally protected medical service dogs to those suffering from disabilities that are both visible, and invisible. Whether it's a child with a hearing disability, or a veteran suffering from PTSD, Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs works with dogs they rescue (some just hours away from being euthanized), and some they raise to become custom-trained medical service dogs. Those dogs are then paired with individuals in need, at NO COST to the recipient. Their dogs can take from 6 -15 months to fully train. It's an amazing service they provide for both dogs and people. Please donate to Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs in support of saving more lives.
