I will be returning to Puerto Barrios, Guatemala from July 31st-August 13th on a mission trip. As you may remember, I went there last August with a team of 11 people. It was such a great experience and I was ready to go back the day I got home! From playing with the kids at the orphanage, handing out new shoes at the elderly home, ministering in the park and at local churches, visiting the children’s hospital, helping build a new school for the special needs children, to bringing food and fresh water to the families working and living at the city garbage dump, God used our team in so many extraordinary ways. He truly opened my eyes to a whole new world, and taught me what it meant to spread His love. I am so looking forward to returning! This year we have a team of 15 people led by my roommate Kathy. She will also be spending the rest of her year (May-December) down in Puerto Barrios to continue ministering to these people and spreading God’s word and His love.

Friends, I know that God is doing so many amazing things in this world every day. But the thing that amazes me is that we get to be a part of it. He uses us to reach and help others. God has instilled a heart of compassion within me. My heart beats for the purpose of helping and loving others as Christ does. I look forward to strengthening the relationships that I began last year with the people of Puerto Barrios, and continue to see how God works in this city. God is truly transforming people’s lives every day. The ministry at the city garbage dump is also growing each week!

If you can and God is leading you to support my mission trip, I am asking you to help support me financially. Any extra money raised will be used to fund projects and/or buy materials during our mission trip. If you cannot donate financially, please keep my team in your prayers as we prepare ourselves for this mission trip. Thank you so much!
En Cristo,

“For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.” Then these righteous ones will reply, “Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? When did we ever see you sick or in prison, and visit you?” And the King will tell them, “I assure you, when you did it to one of the least of these, my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!”
Matthew 25:35-40
