The greatest casualty is being forgotten.......It was these strong words that really hit me after attending the funeral of a childhood friend, Timothy Plaisted. Tim grew up in New Hampshire and joined the Army after graduation. While serving, he was deployed to Iraq where his Humvee was blown up by an IED. Tim received multiple injuries, most of them to his head. These injuries eventually developed into brain tumors. Tim, like all our military, gave all he had to defend and protect our country, our freedoms, and our Constitution; he was awarded the Purple Heart. Tim’s road to recovery was not easy, he endured years of radiation, chemotherapy, and brain surgery. BUT in true Tim fashion (True Hero fashion) he fought with courage, honor, and bravery. He was an inspiration to us all!!! Tim’s passing was such a huge loss to so many people, but it wasn’t until his funeral did I realize how great a loss it was...I witnessed an amazing outpouring of LOVE.....the love of family, the love of a spouse, the love of friends, and the love from an entire community. That day was the catalyst for me, the grief we all felt over Tim’s passing and the heartache we all felt for Tim’s family made me realize there are other families, many of them, going through the same struggles that Tim’s family went through and are still going through now. Tim made his sacrifice to defend and serve our country; as so many of our brave men and women who have served or are serving have. I do not want Tim to ever be forgotten. I do not want any of our Heros to be forgotten; so please donate in honor of our HEROS our WARRIORS. Your generous, tax deductible donation will enable us to help thousands of injured warriors returning home and provide assistance to their families.......THANK YOU!!!!!! TO ALL THOSE SERVING OR THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!!!!!
