BENEFITING: BREAST CANCER COALITION OF ROCHESTER INC
EVENT DATE: May 11, 2014
This Mother's Day I am participating in the Pink Ribbon Run along with my Aunt Joanne and my sister Tessa in honor of my mother, aunts, and every other woman who is, has, or ever will struggle with Breast Cancer.
The picture I posted of my mom was taken in 2012 when I came home from Wisconsin for Christmas which was one of the only times I was able to be with my family throughout the year. She hadn't received her Breast Cancer diagnosis yet, but had already fought through a battle against Lymphoma. She wore her new short funky hair style like a badge of honor, and she looked to me as strong and vibrant as ever. I printed this portrait in an 8x10 and had it hanging on the wall of my home in Wisconsin. She hated the picture when she saw it on a visit. But to me, and everyone else who saw it, she looked beautiful.
So to anyone who has actually read this far, I ask that you find it in your heart to give whatever you feel you are able to help the cause. Every little bit helps.
Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would prefer to donate via cash or check and I will give you my mailing address.
