Help for Heroes is a charity formed to help those who have been wounded in Britain's current conflicts. As friends and relatives of current serving and ex-servicemen, members of the new Strathclyde University Fundraising in Support of Help for Heroes Society are keen supporters of the Help Heroes charity and their work.
Fundraising is the key element of our Help For Heroes society but we also get involved in awareness raising projects and supporting Help For Heroes activities.
We're the first student society to be created in support of the charity and with the full support of Help For Heroes Charity we have access to official merchandise and the latest campaigns but we need you to make a difference!
Throughout the year Strathclyde Fundraising in Support of Help for Heroes Society will be busy organising and running various events to raise awareness, support and money for our blokes.
We'll be looking for people to volunteer at events such as Awareness Raising Stalls and various fundraisers.
It's a great thing to be involved in and if you'd like to become a part of something as important and inspirational as H4H then simply PM us and we'll get back to you as soon as we can!
It's been a busy four months here at H4H Soc. Since October 2010 we've held an Awareness Raising stall in the Union Foyer, presentations on the charity before lectures, managed to get staff and students involved, had an interview with Real Radio, helped out at a Church event dedicated to the charity, held an army themed charity pub crawl, a Valentines Bake Stall and raised £571.19 for our blokes!
