Sleeping one night in the cold is tough. Imagine not having a home to go to night after night.
Le Moyne College and Syracuse Rescue Mission partner to bring awareness and help fight homelessness in Onondaga County with the Great Syracuse Sleep-Out. Please join us in spending the night outside or sponsoring someone who is. The event will be held on Le Moyne College on Friday, November 20, at 7pm - Saturday, November 21, 7:30am. In 2014, the Rescue Mission provided more than 73,000 overnight stays in Syracuse to men who might otherwise have nowhere to go. Now, the organization is providing emergency shelter to women as well! What starts as a meal and a bed leads to lives changed, as Rescue Mission case managers help every guest develop a plan, and connect with services such as employment and education support, mental and physical healthcare, and permanent housing.
YOU can help those experiencing homelessness in Onondaga County come out of the cold, and on to a better life. Support meals, shelter and services through the Great Syracuse Sleep-Out. (Ask your family and friends for support too!) Also, if you can’t sleep out, sponsor someone who is!
