Habitat for Humanity Collegiate Challenge Volunteer Trip
Organized by: Amanda Bentley
From March 27th - April 2nd, over my spring break, I will be volunteering with Habitat for Humanity of St. Tammany West, Louisiana, in the New Orleans Metro Area and I would love your help, generosity, and support so I am able to give back to this community!
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that believes that everyone – every man, woman, and child in the world – deserves a safe and affordable home. Following this principle, Habitat for Humanity partners with low-income families all over the world to guarantee each family with a safe place to live, with the help of volunteers like us.
Habitat’s Collegiate Challenge program allows student groups from all over the country to spend one week working with their affiliate, community, and partner families to help eliminate poverty housing in the area. Though it has been 10 years since Hurricane Katrina, this community we will be volunteering with is still feeling it's effects and we hope that our service will make a small dent in bettering the lives of those who were affected.
I would greatly appreciate any donation towards making this Collegiate Challenge trip with Habitat for Humanity a reality. All donations are tax-deductible donations! My goal is $700.00 total and a donation from you would be a huge help and greatly appreciated. Thanks again!
