BENEFITING: HAITI RELIEF FUND
Haiti Relief Fund is a disaster relief organization with the purpose of providing continual relief to impoverished citizens and areas of Haiti. Carlo Thertus, a renowned artist, founded the organization with a vision to help even the most difficult to reach poor in Haiti. We have embarked on projects from Cholera Prevention, aiding the rebuilding of Sodeth Hospital, to helping to build schools and orphanages. On Oct 3, 2016, Haiti bore the brunt of Hurricane Matthew, a Category 4 hurricane with winds blowing at up to 145 mph. Hurricane Matthew left a devastating impact, claiming the lives of at least 900 people and destroying tens of thousands of homes according to news sources. Over 300,000 lives now need aid. Cholera outbreaks have worsened as a consequence of the flash floods caused by Matthew in Haiti, and now most of the water sources in the affected areas are contaminated. Haiti Relief Fund has been continuing in efforts to aid in the prevention and treatment of Cholera. In addition, we will need your help as we will also embark on projects to help rebuild homes that have been destroyed due to Hurricane Matthew. Your support, thoughts, and prayers are needed at this time as we will need as much support as possible to provide resources necessary to Hurricane Matthew victims in order to treat and prevent Cholera. Thank you for partnering with us.
