BENEFITING: MARANATHA CHILDRENS MINISTRIES INC
EVENT DATE: Mar 01, 2014
Dear friends and family,
I can’t begin to thank you enough for the love and support you’ve given me over the years. God has blessed me with so many opportunities to serve Him. I’ve been privileged to go on several out of country mission trips to Nicaragua and Uganda. God continues to reveal himself to me, especially as I’m here for my second year at Ecola Bible School.
The reason I’m writing is to tell you about the amazing opportunity God has given me as a student at Ecola. My school offers several mission trips, to various locations, during spring break. I have been accepted to go to Haiti in March of next year. I feel blessed to have been chosen, as there were many applicants for the mission trips. I’m very excited to see what God will accomplish with this team over spring break!
In Haiti, we will be working on reconstructing houses and other forms of manual labor. We will also be partnering with an orphanage and a preschool. The preschool provides education, health, and nutrition program for the preschoolers. Another area of involvement will be working with the Tluceks and their ministry: Maranatha Childrens Ministries. You can learn more about MCM through their website http://www.mcmhaiti.org/ The team is also working to raise funds to be able to bring in supplies for their ministry as well as funds to build houses.
God has been moving in my life more than ever these past couple of years. He started something in my heart when he brought me to Ecola last year. For me, this is an incredible gift God has given me; the chance to give back, especially after my first year of Ecola, and now in my second year.
My goals for this trip are to be put outside of my comfort zone, which is going to happen a lot on this trip, and to trust that God will provide the necessary funds.
Obviously, this trip is not free, and we are required to raise our funds independently. I would love for you all to be involved in this opportunity God has given me and the rest of the team, whether through prayers or by giving. Both are appreciated so much!
The cost of the trip is about $1,400, and that covers my plane ticket as well as part of the price of building materials for the houses we’ll be constructing. The goal for the team is to have most of our support in by late January.
If you are willing to serve financially, please make checks to Ecola Bible School and send it to the following address:
P.O. Box 190
Cannon Beach, OR 97110
Please do NOT put my name on any part of the check for tax purposes. Please leave the memo line BLANK. Instead, attach a note stating that the money is for Haiti and MY name.
I can’t tell you all enough how excited I am for this trip! God has moved so powerfully on trips like these because of the support I have from you all. Over the years all of you have encouraged me so much. I cannot thank you enough. Our team meets once a week. It will be great to get to know them all, and prepare for this trip together.
Once again, thank you for the love and support. It means more than you could know. Be blessed, and know I love you all!
