Haley's Grace Fund
Organized by: Amber Fernandez
Growing up, I always saw how hard my mother had to work to try and make ends meet as a single parent. She had lost two husbands to addiction, and no matter how hard she worked, it never seemed to be enough to have the quality of life I think all families deserve. Even government aid is hard to come by, and often not enough for families who have lost a primary household member. Haley's Grace is named in remembrance of my baby half sister, who passed away shortly after birth due to a neural tube defect. The funds we raise will go directly to providing a sense of security to struggling families, whether that means helping to buy back to school supplies, groceries for the holidays, or winter clothes, etc. I believe that by helping these families, we can help to create a stronger community overrall by showing that there is hope when it seems like relief is far away.
