BENEFITING: New York Cares
On August 12th, I'll be running the SeaWheeze Half Marathon in Vancouver. While I'm looking forward to exploring Vancouver, I'll be raising money for an organization closer to home - New York Cares. For those who are unfamiliar, New York Cares was founded in 1987 and is now the city's largest volunteer management organization, running volunteer programs for nonprofits, city agencies, and public schools across all five boroughs. The resources and volunteers provided by NY Cares today benefit over 1,300 nonprofits and schools, 1,600 volunteer projects and in 2016 alone, benefited over 400,000 New Yorkers.
As a NY Cares volunteer and member of the Rising Leaders Council, I've had the opportunity to see firsthand the positive impact that NY Cares has on the lives of so many people and I'm excited to have the opportunity to raise money for such an important cause. If you are willing and able to donate, every little bit counts and I would be grateful for any support you're able to give to this fantastic organization. If you would like more information about volunteering with NY Cares, I would be happy to provide it.
Thanks so much for your generosity,
