THE STORY:
Hi all!
On October 9th, I will be running my first half-marathon, the BAA Half Marathon, and I would love to run for a cause. As you all know, animal rescue and helping homeless animals in shelters is a cause that is near and dear to my heart.
I have been volunteering at the MSPCA for a number of years now, which has only increased my passion and interest in animal rescue. I adopted my cat, Wilma from another great rescue organization, after she was found in a box outside with her two sisters. And, last December, I adopted a sweet, goofy dog from Arkansas, Bullwinkle through Last Hope K9 Rescue. He was in a high kill shelter down there, and thanks to many people in Arkansas and Boston, he was pulled from the shelter and found his way to me in here!
Finishing the race isn't my only goal. I hope to raise at least $500 to help support and to give back to just one of these many wonderful organizations that rescue and adopt homeless animals into loving homes. Please consider donating to help me reach my goal.
