BENEFITING: OCULAR MELANOMA FOUNDATION
EVENT DATE: Nov 02, 2014
On November 2nd, I will run the New York Marathon in honor of my mom, Lillian Riley Trimboli, who ten years ago passed away after battling ocular melanoma -- eye cancer.
Those who know me know that Lil is the reason I run, the inspiration in every stride. Lil conquered endurance events throughout her short career including the Pikes Peak Marathon, Leadville Trail 100 and more -- all while blind in her right eye, which surgeons removed when she was first diagnosed in her late 20s.
I will run the New York Marathon wearing an eye patch (half-blind!) if you help me reach my goal of raising $2620 for the Ocular Melanoma Foundation.
Thanks for supporting this cause; it's very near and dear to my heart!
