BENEFITING: The Hall STEPS Foundation
ORGANIZER: The Hall STEPS Foundation
EVENT: 2016 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE: Apr 18, 2016
This will be my 5th Boston Marathon and the second time I have run for the Hall Steps Foundation. I also ran for their team in 2014 for the Chicago Marathon but unfortunately was injured in an accident 3 weeks before the race and this year at Boston will be the first time I will be able to race officially on their team and in their singlet. I'm honored to be a part of this team and make a difference through running that helps those in need.
I thank you greatly for any donation you can make as I shoot for a big goal this April 18th and chose to make the Hall Steps Foundation one of the ways I give back. I have been fortunate enough to meet Ryan Hall at an event we worked together on and race with his wife Sara in Chicago this last October. I think they are both great role models for runners and their continued work in Ethiopia, recently adopting 4 sisters from an orphanage there, is inspiring. My goal in Boston is sub 2:30 (in 2014 I ran 2:32:58 there). I'm going to work hard to get that goal and run with a purpose. Thank you for your support!
Here's our mission..
There is no other race like the Boston Marathon, and no more urgent grant than bringing food to people who desparately need it in Ethiopia due to the drought.
Thank you for partnering with us to bring emergency aid to these famine affected areas in the form of food, clean water, agricultural support, and healthcare. You’ll also support long-term health, water, and agricultural programs to help communities become resilient in the face of future droughts. Thanks to government grants, your gift today will multiply 3 times in impact!
