I have been teaching for over 10 years and I never had to isolate my actions to raising money. I have always simply enjoyed teaching and never looked past my actions in the classroom. This is my first year at a private school and our school provides financial aid to 68% of the student body. The faculty and students put on lots of fundraisers throughout the year and I figured I could tap into my Facebook resources and see what I could do simply by asking for your help. I feel weird and bothersome about asking for money but I really shouldn't it is more about allowing you the opportunity to help my school, present and future students, and the local community. I am not sure what is going to come of this but nothing could be done if I fail to ask. Parting with your hard earned cash is never easy to do but I promise you will feel better, a smile will be on your face, and you will have provided a clear affirmation about what we are all capable of if we are informed. If you aren't able to donate then please post a comment to the students and give them some encouraging words of advice. Remember whether you believe you can or can't, either way you are right.
