Doug Kilgore wrote -Ham radio operators from amateur radio clubs in North Texas provide communication support to the Wild Ride Against Cancer Bike Rally. Their behind-the-scene efforts help provide safety along the 65 mile route by locating riders in need of assistance and dispatching SAG vehicles to pick them up. At rest stops, hams work with rest stop captains to relay supply needs to race officials.
Many of us have friends or relatives who have fought or are fighting cancer.
