BENEFITING: HANCOCK SHAKER VILLAGE INC
This year I had the honor of joining the board of trustees of Hancock Shaker Village located in The Berkshires - a National Historic Landmark. Why?
When I was around 12 years-old my family visited Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill in Kentucky. On that family vacation, I instantly fell in love with the Shaker's passion for simplictic design, stewardship of the land, and commitment to community. Never did I imagine that our home upstate New York would be located in the heart of the Shaker establishment. So I instantly knew I had to get involved to ensure future generations of families and kids learn important lessons from Shaker history, design, innovation and agriculture/horticulture.
In joining Hancock Shaker Village's board, I agreed to contribute financially to the non-profit, as well as invite my family, friends and colleagues to support the museum, village and working farm. So this is where I need your help.
As we look to restore 18 historic buildings, expand our educational programs and exhibits, and provide the under-resourced staff with modern tools and vehicles to maintain the 700-acre village and farm, I'm in need your help. So consider this...
If just 50 of my family, friends and colleagues support my board participation with a $100 donation, I can raise an additional $5K for Hancock Shaker Village.
Thank you in advance for supporting me, and more importantly, advancing the mission of Hancock Shaker Village!
