EVENT DATE: Dec 31, 2011
Imagine you trip on a curb and are falling and you have no arms to break the fall. Or your daughter comes home crying and you have no arms to give her a hug and wipe the tears away. My nephew, Gummi Felix, lost both his arms in an accident 14 years ago. With a new technology, he has been approved to receive 2 full arms through transplant surgery in Lyons, France. It will be the first surgery of it's kind in the World! The only thing standing in the way of him hugging his daughters again is money. Before he can even get on the waiting list for the arms-he prefers them in the same ethnicity and gender as he is, he needs to pay up front $200.000. He also needs additional flow to move from Iceland to France for up to 4 years and he needs our help!
