simply want to build a school in Benduma, Sierra Leone on the continent of Africa. This school would serve up to ten villages that otherwise won't have the opportunity to learn to read. My goal is to continue to affirm in my life and others that one of the true joys of our salvation is found in giving out of what we've been given to the "least of these". God is, no doubt, moving in Sierra Leone- a place which ranked second from bottom in the 2006 U.N. Human Development Index due to a nasty decade long civil war which left the country with 50,ooo dead and 2.5 million displaced. The stories of the wreckage are far more reaching than words can express. Amidst this carnage, on a mission trip there in January, I met a vibrant church in Benduma with hungry hearts to know Christ deeply but who lack the ability to share in one of the greatest graces of my life- the study of scripture. This school would teach them to read Kissi (their native language)and English. This school would help them to know their Saviour more intimately. I'm not asking you to give any more or less than you can but I am sincerely hoping you will give.
