Ojai Valley School is a co-educational boarding and day school for approximately 290 students from pre-kindergarten to twelfth grade. The academic program is challenging and well-rounded, encouraging students to explore their interests, know themselves, and develop a respect for others.
For the past eight years, Ojai Valley School has been taking our Seventh Grade students to Channel Islands National Park to participate in place-based learning. This year, inspired by the National Parks Every Kid in a Park initiative, we will be taking our Fourth-grade students to Channel Islands National Park. Our goal is to instill in our students a sense of appreciation and stewardship for the Channel Islands National Park and the unique fragility of the marine and island terrestrial ecosystem as a whole. We will incorporate environmental stewardship and outdoor recreation opportunities that are educational and create the next generation of park visitors. The funds raised will be used to secure transportation to Channel Islands National Park.
