BENEFITING: BARK NATION
EVENT DATE: Sep 19, 2015
Every coupla years, I plan a half marathon to run...and raise some money doing so. It's been a few years, but I find the fundraising keeps me motivated to put in the miles and, well, it helps a good cause, right?
This year, I'm running for Zander (and so many more). Zander and his compadres Homer & Taco, along with one of my former fosters, Honey, are some of hundreds of dogs that have been rescued from dog fighting rings (alleged and convicted) across the US.
And, so, here we are. I'm running 13.1 miles (The Baker's Dozen Beer Run <-----name says it all) to raise money for dog fighting ring survivors like Zander. With your help, more dogs will be rescued off chains, taught that humans can be kind, and owners educated about humane animal guardianship. There are many renowned organizations taking care of cruelty cases across the country - for this run, I'm raising money for Bark Nation (right here in my backyard!).
In it to end it. Join me.
