Who We Are
Hannah’s House, Inc. is a local, community supported nonprofit mental health center with offices in Waitsfield and Waterbury, Vermont. Founded by friends and family in 2010 to honor the memory of Hannah Bedford, a young Mad River Valley resident who lost her battle with mental illness in 2009, Hannah’s House supports emotional and mental health for children, teens, adults and families by providing local, high quality counseling, community outreach through education, financial assistance for psychotherapy to those in need, and alternative therapies including neurofeedback brain training for anxiety based disorders.
What We Do
Hannah’s House provides office spaces for a team of licensed counselors who offer a variety of therapeutic approaches from traditional counseling to play therapy, DBT, family systems and alternative therapies including Neurofeedback Brain Training. We partner with schools and local organizations to help sponsor educational programs and provide access to resources through a free consultation service and online information.
How We Are Funded
Hannah's House is a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt organization funded entirely by donations from our community, friends, family, businesses, grants from foundations and fundraisers. The Team Hannah fundraiser in the Mad Marathon and the new walking division, Setep After Step foir Mental Health, has provided the majority of support for our services since our founding in 2010.
Your willingness to join Team Hannah and fundraise, or donate to support a team member, is vital to our success and our gratitude to you knows no bounds. For more information about Hannah's House, visit:
