BENEFITING: Nicholas House, Inc.
I find it hard to believe that I will be 68 years old on September 17. But it's true!
This is also a very special birthday year for Nicholas House, a non-profit program to help Atlanta's homeless families become self-sufficient. I have been actively involved with Nicholas House for over 4 years as a volunteer and board member. This is the 30th year of service. During that time the non-profit agency has helped over 10,000 homeless kids and their parents become self-sufficient.
Please see the website (www.nicholashouse.org) to learn more about the program and the hardworking families that get back on their feet with the help of Nicholas House. The photos that accompany this email show some of the children and families who have actively participated in the program. The large photo was taken on August 18 at the monthly Open Door tour of the House.
To celebrate our joint birthdays, I'd like to ask each of you to make a donation to this wonderful work. Would you donate any amount that ends in 68? Maybe $10.68 is what your budget allows. Or, $60.68 might be possible or maybe you just won the lottery and want to give $500.68 Actually, anything you want to donate would be a great tip of the birthday hat to both of us.
Thank you so much! Hilary and Nicholas House wish you much goodness in the coming year. (www.nicholashouse.org, P.O.Box 15577, Atlanta GA 30333) .
