BENEFITING: GEORGES MALAIKA FOUNDATIONINCORPORATED
EVENT DATE: Jan 06, 2013
I do not usually celebrate my birthday, but I feel most blessed to have made it to 45!! In lieu of any celebrating or gifts my heart would be most grateful if you considered giving to 152 girls and their school. Each girl lives in my heart. I was blessed beyond words to have spent the month of April with them and be able to live with the founder, Noella Munsunka Coursaris', family in Lubumbashi, DRC. We made art, music, pracited English and Yoga together. I learned more from these remarkable young girls who are changing the world than I could ever teach them...Please consider helping to keep their innate brilliance and curiosity nurtured by donating what you can to their distinguished school.
Marlo Maron has been a dedicated supporter, donor, volunteer and loving friend to GMF for over 3 years. Marlo shared her energy of kindness and love with the Georges Malaika School for girls during a visit to the DRC last year, and it continues to live on in the classroom and the hearts of all the girls who were touched by her presence. Some memorable moments from her visit include teaching the girls yoga (pictured left) and the song "This little light of mine" which they love to sing to welcome visitors to the school.
Many thanks to Marlo and Happy Birthday!!
