BENEFITING: RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES OF NASHVILLE TN
EVENT: Calls for Kids Telecast 2016
EVENT DATE: Apr 16, 2016
It's Spring, which means it's time for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Nashville Calls For Kids Telecast. I'm asking for your support again this year as I try to raise $1,000 for this worthy organization that means a lot to me. As an RMHC volunteer and board member, I see firsthand the families who need and benefit from the House so they can focus on taking care of their critically ill child. Just $15 covers one night for a family staying at the House.
The 26th annual Calls For Kids Telecast will be broadcast live on WKRN, News 2, Saturday, April 16, from 7 to 10 p.m. This is the largest fundraiser for RMHC Nashville, which relies fully on donations to support its operating expenses for the Ronald McDonald House and Family Room located on the 5th Floor of the Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
With a mission of "Keeping Families Close," Ronald McDonald House Charities of Nashville is there for families when they need it most. It's a refuge and a home away from home for families with critically ill children. There is hardly a time when one of the House's 32 bedrooms is empty and the waiting list is often several families long. While the requested fee is $15 per night, most families staying at the House are unable to pay at all. That's where donations from supporters like you help the most. For $15, you can cover the cost of a night for a family, and for $105, you can cover a week's stay.
While I am blessed with two healthy children, I share my support, time and talents with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Nashville as a way to give back. Please join me in supporting this wonderful and necessary organization. Learn more here.
