Harlem Mothers S.A.V.E. (Stop Another Violent End) mission is to prolong the lives of Harlem's youth by preventing gun violence and its social causes and costs.
Harlem Mothers SAVE was formed in 2006, by Jackie Rowe-Adams and Jean Corbett-Parker with the support of New York State Assemblyman, Keith L.T. Wright. Since its founding, HARLEM Mothers S.A.V.E., has worked tirelessly to embrace community residents and engage local law enforcement agencies, community based organizations, elected officials and the faith-based community to work hand in hand to rid our communities of gun violence.
Harlem Mothers S.A.V.E. focuses on three main areas:
Work to prevent the inter-state transportation and illegal sale of guns into New York, as well as seek the enactment of stricter local, state and national legislation that will limit the easy availability of guns on City Streets.
Encourage peaceful methods of conflict resolution and thereby prevent the use of guns to settle disputes among our youth.
Offer support and counsel to bereaved parents and loved ones who have lost a family member to gun violence.
Thank you all for your support!
