BENEFITING: MYTEAM TRIUMPH
EVENT DATE: Oct 27, 2013
Captain Harrison earned his Captain’s medal when he crossed the 5K finish line with his angels on February 16, 2013! NOW, he is on the road to earning the title 'MARATHONER'!!! Check out this video of Captain Harrison at the starting line.
On October 27th, 2013 Captain Harrison will embark on a 5 hour, 26.2 mile mission to earn the title, Marathoner. He will be joined by first time marathoners and Angels, Kevin, Amy, Michelle, and Stacie (toggle through the photos to the left to see the team and read more about them below)!
Meet Harrision: A freshman at St. Louis High School, Captain Harrison is reportedly known as a serious ‘ladies man’. Diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, he was born two months early on February 22, 1997 and weighed only 4 pounds. Today, he stands over 5 feet tall and weighs over 115 pounds… he can be described as one who defeats the odds. In fact, he can walk in his walker short distances and has also participated in the OLQH ‘Run For Others”. A social butterfly of sorts, he plays Buddy Ball and is a Special Olympiad! As all of his friends and family will attest, he is a super fan of the NFL and Peyton Manning.
