BENEFITING: Conservation International
Harrison Ford wrote -I started raising money over the holiday season for Conservation International and its incredibly important mission to protect and conserve our natural resources. That first round of fundraising got us nearly $10,000 — not bad at all. And the top two highest fundraisers as of January 1 are being sent their signed prizes.
But I think we can do more. Your overwhelming support and enthusiasm has inspired me to keep this going through January 2011.
I'd really like you to join my team. If you can donate $20, that would be great – I‘d appreciate it. If you can ask 10 of your friends to give $20 – well, then we'd really be cooking. Because when you support CI, you’re helping to secure the future of a healthy planet for all of us.
BE THE TOP FUNDRAISER AND WIN:
The TOP OVERALL FUNDRAISER for this campaign by 11:59 p.m. on January 31, 2011, will receive a Limited Edition Han Solo Statue by Gentle Giant. Designed to 1/6 scale, it stands 12 inches tall. I’ll even sign it for you.
(Note: I mean the top overall fundraiser, not just the top fundraiser in January. There are a few people with a big lead, but you have all month to catch up, so get cracking.)
HOW TO JOIN THE TEAM:
Joining the Team is easy. Just click the button to the right, and you'll see instructions if necessary. Once you're a part of the team, ask all of your friends to support your fundraiser with a small donation.
You can also give the gift of a donation in a friend or loved one's name by sending an e-gift card, and they will love you for it. (Or just give a donation and I'll consider it a gift to me personally. Thanks.)
WHY CONSERVATION INTERNATIONAL:
I first came across Conservation International in 1991. At first, I was just looking for a way to give back. But the more I learned about this amazing organization, the more involved I became.
Now, I have a seat on its Executive Committeee. To this day, I’m constantly impressed with CI’s inventiveness and its strategies to identify and overcome threats to the biodiversity that ultimately sustains us all.
Join me in supporting CI, and I’m sure you’ll be impressed too. Thanks for your support.
