Students Taking on Poverty (STOP) is a student organization at Harvard College. Since it's founding in 2005, STOP has run a number of research, fundraising, and volunteer initiatives targeting the problems of poverty locally and abroad.
Last year, STOP officially launched a Malaria Eradication (Bite M.E.) fundraising and advocacy initiative. Consisting of an open panel discussion with malaria experts and a benefit dance, the Bite M.E. initiative successfully raised and donated nearly $600 to GMIN, a non-governmental organization that provides bed nets to the at-risk population of Sierra Leone.
This year, STOP has enlisted the help of the Millenium Campus Network, a live band, and Crowdrise and has set the goal to quadruple our donation to GMIN to halt the spread of malaria in Sierra Leone. Help us to help save lives and make a difference in the lives of the people of Sierra Leone by supporting our cause!
