Church Roof Is Gone !
October 06, 2016
On Monday October 3 2016 , a hurricane of magnitude 3 made landfall in Haïti. Reports of more than 1 metre of rain fell in southern Haïti with winds in excess of 220 kilometers per hour. Multiple homes ,churches, schools & buildings were severly damaged or destroid as rooftops were ripped from the structures and flood waters engulfed entire homes in this mountinous hill country. Countless people had to quickly abondon there homes and belongings only to enter directly into harms way of flying dibris and walls of water. In south Haïti , the regions of Aquin, La Colline, Aue Cayes , Jasmel and others are utterly devastated. These very poor people who had almost nothing to begin with have now lost everything except the soaked muddy clothes on their backs. Food is almost non existant, crops are washed away, livestock dead or dieing, food stores damaged or lost, access to clean drinking water is negligable, clothing & other essential items are under water. The worst is yet to come as people begin to get sick & die from the lack of food supplies , clean drinking water and the onset of waterborn deseases. Our babies, our brothers & sisters desperatly need our immediate help. United Nations relief did not reach people in these more remote locations after the earthquake of 2010. The rural region of La Colline, alone has an estimated population of more than 15,000 people. The M.D.L.F. has a presence in La Colline south Haïti. As Founder-Directer of The M.D.L.F. charity program, I beg you to donate what you can to help save the lives of countless children & adults in this rural region of Haïti. Please share this post with everyone you can. And ...help save lives before it's too late !
