I was born and raised in Terre Haute Indiana. I grew up, as many have, with little money and what seemed like constant struggle. I had the pleasure of speaking with a woman who was 102 years old. I asked her if she ever imagined being that age and how things have changed through the years. What she said spoke to my heart and inspired me to take action. She lived through the great depression and shared memories of communities helping eachother because "we were all in the same boat." She said the one thing she did not anticipate for her future was the lack of concern for one another, for our neighbors. That hit me. So many people right here at home have no idea how the next bill will be paid. How will i put food on the table? How will I make it last? How will i have enough gas to make it to work? The list goes on. With Haute Love donations, i plan to pay it forward. Every penny will go towards uplifing my neighbors, your neighbors, YOU. My plan is to rally a group of young adults to spend a day (hopefully many many days), volunteering in the community to pay it forward. To meet the need where it is needed most. Assist with grocery bills, utilities, gas, school clothing and supplies, etc.. My hope is to prove to those who have lived long before us , that we are not an uncaring society. There are those who care, and who hold hope of a better tomorrow for our neigbors and families. My desire is to create a spark in my community to give back! Help me to show the love! HauteLove!
