We also have additional awards for our Hallowbaloo ‘Marathon’ runners.
Every student who registers to join Hawaii Theatre Center’s Hallowbaloo ‘Marathon’ team will receive two (2) tickets to ‘The Magic Flute’ presented by the Hawaii Opera Theatre's Opera Express on November 4, 2015 at Hawaii Theatre. This award is limited to the first 100 students to register for Hawaii Theatre Center’s Hallowbaloo ‘Marathon’ team.
In addition, everyone who raises $75 or more will receive a Hawaii Theatre Center T-Shirt! Funds must be raised prior to November 1, 2015. T-Shirts will be made available for pickup at our box office (1130 Bethel St, Honolulu, HI 96813) within 6 weeks of the 2015 Hallowbaloo ‘Marathon.’
Last but not least, everyone who raises $1,000 or more for Hawaii Theatre Center prior to November 1, 2015 will receive special recognition in our theatre - your name or that of a friend or family member inscribed on a brass plate secured in perpetuity to a Hawaii Theatre chair of your choice!
Proclaimed as the "Pride of the Pacific" when it opened in 1922, the historic Hawaii Theatre has been at the center of Hawaii's cultural landscape for more than nine decades. Since reopening in 1996 after a $32 million restoration, the Theatre has welcomed more than 2 million patrons and has helped reverse urban decay by attracting business investment to our once struggling neighborhood. Today, more than 100,000 patrons walk through our lobby doors each year.
The Theatre's activities include:
Promoting and presenting authentic Hawaiian music
Producing live theatre productions
Presenting local, national, and international acts
Providing a professionally managed performance facility for over a hundred nonprofits and community arts organizations
Providing high-quality educational programming for Hawaii school children and their families
The Hawaii Theatre Center is excited to participate in this year's 2nd Annual Hallowbaloo Marathon.
