Fight Poverty Through Economic Empowerment

Economic empowerment truly alleviates the effects of poverty, as earning power increases and becomes a crucial factor in development. As almost 23% of Pakistanis live below the national poverty line, it is essential to help provide the necessary tools for rural areas to alleviate a myriad of hardships.

HDF provides micro-credit loans, technical skills training, diploma courses, and grants that are intended for those in the most marginalized communities. This project is designed to help those who need a small amount of capital to buy for example a cow, a sewing machine, or a stall to sell goods. An investment in such a tool to start a business is enough to change someone’s life. Sometimes, all we need is a boost, and this is the project to give someone a chance!

Putting earning capability in the hands of someone in need not just impacts the individual, but the entire community. This has a positive long-term effect on income inequality, education, and could help decrease poverty through generations. Studies have indicated that when communities advance and hold assets or gain income, the money is more likely to be spent on nutrition, medicine and housing, and consequently their children are healthier and in school. Poverty is cyclical, and we can change the paradigm by providing opportunities and resources.

One person can make a difference -- you or me. By helping one person at a time, we can make a difference in our community locally AND globally. Lets help make the world a better place!

Our goal is to raise 10,736 for 122 training and diploma courses in Mardan and Rahim Yar Khan.
