Last year, I went on a 30-mile backpack trip with my nephew Colin to raise funds for my organization, APPEAL. For those who donated for our campaign last year, thank you very much- your support inspired us and helped to support important youth leadership programs.
This year, I have realized that it is harder to sustain physical activity on a weekly basis. For this year’s HEAL (Healthy Eating and Active Living) for APPEAL campaign, I am committing to walking 5 miles/day for four months- that’s 500 miles.
Please support APPEAL and its network’s efforts to raise awareness about healthy eating and active living (HEAL) by sponsoring my effort to actively engage in HEAL during the fall 2016 season.
Your contribution to APPEAL will support our collective to build healthy, active and tobacco-free Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities.
We encourage all our APPEAL network members to sponsor their efforts in leading or participating in an activity that reflects healthful living.
