Healing for Colby #319
Organized by: Kari Fortini
April 07, 2017
On June 6, 2015, my son Colby, shattered his tibial plateau while doing what he loved most - racing his dirt bike. He spent 17 days in the hospital requiring 7 surgeries to repair the bone and monitor the nerve & muscle damage. He has not regained feeling & has developed neuropathic pain in his foot. He will need physical therapy to desensitize the nerves. His toes are becoming clawed & the arch in his foot is contracting. He is in need of several procedure to release, stretch, pin & move tendons as well as breaking & resetting his heal bone. He will need further therapy once this has been done. We are working with the Institute for Foot & Ankle Reconstruction in Baltimore to locate a doctor in our network that can provide the care he needs. Please consider a donation to help us through this journey.
