As #AgentsOfChange we will donate $10 in YOUR name to help veterans with disabilities make their lives easier with the help of service dogs. Service Dogs Alabama rescues over 50 dogs a year through inmates who train dogs in prison before they are given to children, adults, veterans with disabilities and classrooms to help with medical and psychiatric assistance.
After qualifying, Post- Golf War Veterans are eligible to receive a service dog that is proficient in 40 to 50 commands including diabetic alert, seizure alert, stability/balance, wheelchair assistance, autism (particularly Asperger’s Syndrome), and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Service Dogs Alabama also has training programs so that they can train a family dog as long as it passes evaluations along with classes. Dogs are rescued from shelters and take between six months to two years to be fully trained on what they are being serviced for.
With the help of your recommendation we can help shelter dogs, prison inmates, people with disabilities, and our educational system. Join the movement to help make a difference in our community!
